Producer/Festival Curator

Oceana Julie Cage-Nzene (she/her) is a creative based in Greater Manchester. She trained with the Royal Exchange Theatre and the RNCM Young Company, and has been working to expand her connections with other artists around the North.


Her first major project was during Switch_MCR’s double-bill, where she wrote the absurdist play ‘8055’. Since then, Oceana has been exploring different avenues of writing, in the hopes of one day submitting to the Bruntwood Prize for Playwrighting.


As well as her recent interest in creative writing, Oceana has a strong passion for acting and performance, and is looking forward to pursuing potential creative ventures in the near future. She’s recently co-produced Save Me a Seat with Sara Abanur and Ntombizodwa Ndlovu for Switch_MCR.
