Switch_Lab

Welcome to the Switch_Lab! Switch_MCR's new theatre laboratory which aims to give people, in and around Greater Manchester, the opportunity to develop their practise in free sessions on the third Sunday of every month. The lab will take place at the University of Manchester, in the Martin Harris Centre, and will be fully accessible. This is the space to experiment...

The sessions are 4 hours long and will provide space for writers, actors, directors and workshop leaders to develop their work in a creative hub. In advance of the session we will contact writers/workshop leaders to discuss their work and pair them with directors/actors. During the session, time will be given for casts to rehearse with a director and have the writer in the space to answer any questions, and make notes for themselves. Towards the end of the session the pieces will be performed to each other and feedback given. We do not expect anyone to have rehearsed outside of the lab and the excerpts can be performed script-in-hand.
