Starting at 53two, the home of Switch_MCR, we will take a two hour scenic route around Manchester; unveiling some of its history and celebrating the people, past and present who make the city what it is.

About the event
Join Annie on the first day of the festival, 16th December, as she takes us around the city centre in her STROLLING TOUR OF MANCHESTER’S HAPPY HISTORY. We will learn about the people, past and present, that have made Manchester what it is. From Alan Turing’s design of the Bombe, to Madonna’s first ever UK appearance at the Hacienda in the 80’s, there is so much of Manchester to uncover. And if you’re lucky… there may even be some Manchester poetry, written and performed by Annie! Come down and celebrate the city we all love and know so well.
